Description
RCLSP: ESEE Knives Laser Strike
ESEE Knives

The Laser Stirke is an improved ESEE fixed blade knife with a spear point blade shape and a more ergonomic handle. This model does away with the striking pommel on the butt of the knife in lieu of a more comfortable grip. Jimping on the back spine of the knife is also improved on this knife, reallying locking your thumb in place. If you have experience with any of the regular ESEE knives, you will surely enjoy the new Laser Strike.

An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Cons: Weight, Handle Material
Great balanced knife and amazing sheath
Use the knife a my primary concealed weapon. (under 21, and this knife is legal to carry in public colleges) only use two screws to hold clip plate on so it rides really low. Only con is the Micarta scales have to be cleaned often because of how I carry it and they soak up sweat. Definitely comes with one of the nicest Kydex sheaths on the market for the price point.

Don't really need to say anything...
When the Laser Strike first came out I disliked the look of it, it seems odd, don't let that bother you. I purchased this due to wanting the longer flat side for cutting than what is offered by the Esee 5 & 6. As in the spear point allows for less of a upward curve in the blade. It doesn't disappoint for all types of tasks. I have done camp tasks with it, prepared a deer, gutted and skinned it, albeit it's not a skinner it is possible. All of the knifes I own and have owned, the Esee Laser Strike would be my first choice over all of them, Gerbers, Bucks, CRKT, Spiderco and even the Esee Izula, Junglas and 3. If I had one go to knife, one to carry over everything else it would be this one. I have even sold other knifes since owning this as I won't go back to them. Feels great in the hand, solid and sturdy. I don't believe there is one thing that could be done to improve on the feel of the knife. It's a no BS blade that can be adapted to most, if not anything you feel the need to do.
