I use this knife for skinning deer, coyotes and small game. The Old Timer Muskrat has been my choice of knife as long as I can remember.

Cheesy Variation on a Once Fine Knife
I once owned a Schrade Muskrat knife but lost it in a river. I had hoped to replace the old one with something as good. Schrade has a very good reputation as an American made blade manufacturer, and I'd hoped that the replacement would be up to their historical standard. It wasn't. It handles and feels like a cheap copy of a once respectable pocketknife.
