Pros: Finish, Handle Material, Weight, Sheath/Scabbard
Cons: Blade Sharpness, None
Solid Basic Carry Blade
This knife is carried in Afghanistan. The construction and appearance is solid. The sheath is simple but effective. The sheath also uses simple screws that any service member can tighten without special tools. Out of the box the blade was DULL. One side of the blade was grounded more than the other side. But after I put 20 minutes of work into it, I put an edge on it that can get the job done. I bought this knife because the military postal service have strange rules about sending larger knives back home. So I bought a cheaper blade like this to leave it here if I have to.

impressive considering the price
Thick, heavy duty knife with a comfortable grip, useful shape and effective finish. I was surprised at its finish and quality detail which I didn't expect in this price range. The handle is well contour minimizing hot spots during extended use, nice balance, the sheath is simple and functional allowing for multiple carrying options. The edge was rather dull but took an edge well. edge retention is fair. overall a good buy and a knife I will use often.
