Description
SCTACTMP2: Parry Blade "Signature" Knife
Scorpion Knives

The Parry Blade is simply the ultimate combat/survival knife - the result of a unique collaboration between Mel Parry and Scorpion Knives.

Mel Parry's military service spans 32 years, 27 of which were spent with Special Forces and his operational experience formed an integral part of the design and development of this very special blade. Each knife is skillfully hand crafted by Scorpion Knives, making every knife truly extraordinary.

The Parry Blade is a pure combat survival knife designed and developed with efficiency and practicality in mind. A thoroughbred amongst knives, it was borne out of a clear understanding that a knife should be first and foremost a tool.

The knife is strong and heavy, made from 1/4" (6.4mm) thick high tensile stainless steel hardened to 57-58 RC and coated in black DuPont Teflon. The main edge is bevel-ground for strength. The deep belly shape takes the weight forward giving the knife a powerful chopping stroke. The point is ground as a spear point and is strong enough for digging and prying.

Near the choil is a hollow-ground section that can be honed for razor sharpness for fine cutting and whittling, aided by the forward choke. On the top of the blade is a serrated edge for sawing through rope or webbing.

The contoured double guard butt is squared off and file cut for use as a hammer. Checkered and contoured linen Micarta scales screwed to the full tang construction complete this exceptional knife.

The Parry Blade comes complete with a black heavy duty Cordura sheath with a front pocket for holding a sharpening rod or other small object.

Fabulous Blade !!!
I read reviews about this blade for over a year before I made the purchase. I first saw it reviewed on a show I was watching on T.V. The curiosity was killing me and I began to research it more. This knife is Fantastic ! It comes shipped wicked scary sharp. The 420 steel vs. the 440 steel means it will give a Little before it chips during the heavy jobs. This thing is a tool and can withstand almost any abuse thrown at it. I almost NEVER throw that kind of money down on something like this but I now realize I will NEVER need another one. I have always loved my Gerbers and for good reason as most of you know but this blade is more than worth the money. Even the scabbard is absolutely durable and is designed for multiple carry configurations. This thing is a digger, a chopper as well as a skinner. Some reviews mentioned that it can't clean fish. Well it sure as heck can make some short work of a hog or deer with plenty of edge left over to keep going ! You wanna clean a fish ? Then that's what that Gerber is for. You want a versatile tool in a pinch ? This is IT ! I'm not so well off that I can go around throwing down money on things like this but my gut kept telling me this was the one. My gut was spot on.

Excellent design
This is a very well thought out design, well balaced and is perfect for both chores and battle. The top heavy blade allows for ease of chopping but is capable of doing small chores like kindling etc. The sheath is as solid asthe knife that holds it, very well built. You will not be disappointed. You do get what you pay for and more. Thank you mel and Scorpion.
