The Arc-Lock

The Arc-Lock just might be the perfect lock. Why? It is totally ambidextrous and has all of the attributes knife designers relentlessly search for, but rarely find.

The Arc-Lock far surpasses conventional lock strength, tested at over 1000 lbs of force measured at the lock in an independent lab test.

The Arc-Lock provides lightning-quick, one-handed opening and closing capability.

Spring-action securely retains the blade closed. When unlocking, the fingers are safely kept clear.

The Arc-Lock is self-adjusting over time and can be easily cleaned for long term optimal performance.

Pros: Ease of Opening, Weight, Lock Type, Handle Material, Lock Ease of Use, Sheath, Handle Feel, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Pocket Clip, None
Great big edc
Great big edc folder and kitchen folder . EDC- is big but the construction make it easy carry and for kitchen 5 inch blade there is nothing to say :-) .Handle is through construction that makes it easy for cleaning. in the tactical role as well the knife will be great. However from my opinion the only disadvantage is the pocket clip which i will prefer to be the deep sog pocket clip instead.

I remember the first run of SOG-Spec knifes in later 90-s. Now it is simply a classics. Very similar to Benchmade Harley and OnSlaught models; these were huge AUS-8 low-carbon blades, designed for SD and SO needs and body-guards. Because SpecElite is one of a few folding knifes, which can be almost equal to a fixed combat-blade, eg a fairbairn syke. I have changed my opinion after few years when Arc-Lock FAILED and I've got very serious cut; I could have lost my finger. Since then I use only a fixed-blade. An Ontario RTAK. But... if you need a strong folder. Yeah, it could be a good choice.
