Cons: None
Great knife, few drawbacks. Still had a five star review in my book.
Bang for the buck, this is just a great knife. Some of the features of the design I thought would have been negative, turned out to really grow on me. The knife handle is really thin, took some getting used to being that my previous edc was a huge Dalton Tiger. But ultimately I liked it's slimmer profile in my pocket a lot. The knife is really light, but again, I grew to appreciate that too. The release button is small, this was toughest to get over. But after a few days or so it became easy to use. The materials and general build quality are top notch. After about a year of beating the hell out of it, it was still in great shape and operating like new. The SOG designers crammed every micron of blade into the handle. This shows where the pivot screw is so close to the top edge of the handle, again this works well. Looks like it could make for a weak point, but it absolutely does not, even in rough use. The blade also extends all the way to the base of the handle when closed. The blade ejects fast, hard and accurately. It lockes in place very well. I can say for sure this knife is crazy light and crazy thin. Makes it incredibly easy to cary a full 4" blade day to day. The one thing I did NOT grow to like about this knife was what can only be described as a design oversight... The pocket clip pushes into the SOG logo machined into the back side of the knife. If you don't bend the clip a little to release it's tension, it can shred your pocket. I fixed this by just filling in the one section of the logo with epoxy. This was not enough to take away from a 5 star rating. Maybe a 9.7 out of 10.
