SOGTS01: TS01 Tsunami
With the reintroduction of this popular SOG knife, we have taken what made the Tsunami so great and improved it. Some of the changes are subtle - like refining the overall balance. Some are more obvious, like the grooves in our crossguards and the option of a tough TiNi coating. Finally, the beautiful Tsunami blade shape is mated perfectly with an extremely tactile diamond checkered Kraton handle. Explore this next generation of a great classic!

Pros: Materials, Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, Finish
Average quality fighter
Nice looking fighting knife that comes sharp out of box. Aus8 is average quality steel but works for what this knife is made for. Lightweight and well balanced and the handguard is small but solid. Now the bad things: Too bulky sheath, uneven grind at the tip, handle is fairly small.

Downgraded after further experience
The blade is not firmly fixed in the handle. When doing a hard snap you can feel (and clearly hear) the movement. Not good enough! Shipped as a second from SOG, I think. Wonder if they are all like this. Check first with KC.

Pros: Materials, Handle Material, Blade Material, Finish, Weight, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, None
Prospective buyers may be interested to know that the blade of this knife is NOT 6 1/2 in as advertised, but more like 6 3/16 in. It's style is that of a fighter rather than that of a survival knife. The scabbard is large and seems a bit clumsy, but is quite adequate. Worth buying.
