Nice Starter Blade For Your Adolescent
You won't be flipping this rather sharp little blade out to quickly but I personally believe that makes for a good "responsibility-builder" first blade for your son or daughter. Your yungin' will be pleased that they actually received a 'real' knife & your wife won't give you a rap on the head for 'weaponzing' your offspring.

Good knife. Great Price
I use the Robin as a every day knife. It small enough to carry anywhere with out any issues. It is big enough to get most jobs done. The price is great. If I do lose it I don't feel quite so bad.

Disappointed with Spyderco Byrd Robin 2
I'm a big Spyderco fan, but I was disappointed in the workmanship of this knife. The spine sat lower than the handles and I had to sand the back edges of the handles to line them up with the spine. The action was stiff and I had to work it a lot to smooth it out. The adjustment screw didn't help. The knife is substantially thicker than the first series. It's longer and thicker than my Dragonfly, which has a cutting surface approximately the same length.
