Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to Kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.

Buy this if in the market!
Very pleased with the golok and service. This is my first experience with a golok or any other similar design, and so far I'm well pleased. Arrived with a grease coating, removed with lighter fluid, temper lines in evidence. Being carbon steel, a patina is expected and admired. Keep properly oiled. Very sharp, which I improved on easily with my ceramics and strop. Maintains an edge well, in my limited experience thus far . Grip is comfortable in my hands with gobs of available space, and no hot spots. Lanyards are required with this type of tool in my opinion, and lanyard holes are available fore and aft. Well designed leather sheath is provided, perhaps a kydex offering might be in order, or a custom version, to your design. I'd be interested what a 14-16" version would feel like!

Nice Machete...
I bought this for my dad and he said it looks so pretty he dreads getting it dirty. The blade looks awesome, incredibly sharp, my only complaint is the handle. It looks black in the picture online, but in person it has a grey haze over it which makes it a little slippery. But when it gets wet, the handle magically turns black like the picture and is a little bit more grippy. I tried washing it, even using brillo and the grey haze won't come off. My only other option is sandpaper, but I don't want to scratch it and ruin the handle.

Svord Golok Indispensable
After doing much research online, I ordered this tool. Upon receiving it, I am impressed with the quality. Fit and finish are excellent. It is extremely sharp and the weight and balance of the Svord Golok make it a great choice for wood gathering and shelter building. The length is not too long or too short. It packs well and is handy for many camp chores. It is much more useful than a hatchet for every thing, except maybe driving nails, but I think in a pinch the side of the stout blade would accomplish this task too. The Miacrta handle fits my hand well and does not cause any discomfort during prolonged use. if there is any short coming it is the scabbard. Although well made of leather, I feel a ridged Kydex type scabbard with some lashing points would be a great improvement The Svord Golok will be with me on all my backpacking and camp outings. It has become an indispensable piece of kit.
