Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Weight, Overall Quality, None
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
Good for tackle box or backpack, weak sheath
Great little knife for everyday chores. The large serrations and shape make it highly effective cutting machine; cardboard, rope, nylon, materials, etc. Grips fantastic, it won't come out of your hand. It's a shame that the cheap plastic sheath is the weakest feature of this knife. It is designed poorly. The loose fit rattles like crazy. There's a little push button release that traps your finger when you push to release the knife. If you quickly need to pull the knife to cut a rope for example, it's a bit clumsy. You can pull the knife out too easily without releasing the push button at all. I would be reluctant to carry this for quick use while hiking, fishing, or kayaking, for fear of knocking the knife out of the sheath by accident. However, as an affordable knife for the tackle box or backpack, I think it's excellent. Costing 15 bucks more, I have a similarly-designed CRKT Bear Claw, which I love for hiking/fishing and general use. Much sturdier sheath that I have no qualms about coming loose. If you have bigger hands, go with the CRKT, as it has a thicker handle, and the knife is beefier in general, although at first glance the S&W seems sharper with the longer serrations. The S&W is also much lighter in weight. Excellent little knife-- if it had a better sheath, it would be just about perfect, especially for the price.

Great knife, bad service
The knife is great. Easy to carry and cuts real good. The customer service from knifecenter was bad. I'll go somewhere else for my knives from now on
