The Scout Folding Knife is a workhorse folder with a standard blade size. Its ergonomic, comfortable handle shape, finger choil and top spine jimping on the blade provide improved user-control. The Scout Folding Knife’s conventional spear point blade makes it perfect for your everyday carry blade, handling any task you face with ease.

5.11 Tactical Scout Folding Knife 3.5"
Great knife for the price. Aus 8 blade sharp out of the box. The blade is 3mm thick and actually slightly longer than 3.5". The blade locks up tight no blade play at all. The liner is okay and the G10 handle is comfortable. The Scout weights around 5 oz., which is okay for me. The scout is my EDC for work, just what I was looking for.

thick blade
handle is large and not very grippy and the blade isint very sharp but the thickness of the blade is impressive and is great for hard use other then fine cutting. sharp enough for every day jobs though.

A Nice Surprise
This is not the world's prettiest knife. However, it is about the most comfortable knife to hold that I have ever had in my hand. The ergonomics are outstanding. The blade is extremely sturdy, and the lockup sounds secure. My only concern is how thin the liner appears compared with the thickness of the blade. But that might just be appearances. I plan to order the slightly smaller 5.11 Alpha Scout real soon.
