Excellent Survival Tool
I teach survival and I recomend these as a good survival knife for a light weight survival kit. Anyone who says they can not light a fire from the fire steel needs more practise (yes you still need to prepare your tinder). Only gripe is the newer models do not have the notch on the blade to strike the fire steel but still it works just fine.

nice piece,handy
I bought several of these to give to my biker/snowmobile buddys. They are quick to throw a steady stream of sparks, and the blade is plenty sharp with a handy serated edge. As an avid collector of all kinds of knives, the quality on this piece isent at the highest of standards. I dout the blade would hold up under moderate daily use. But as a survival tool in the glovebox, tank bag,or a back pack it could be a lifesaver, which is what this is by design. Overall a good piece.
