TM1223: Timberline Vallotton Signature Knife Medium Size Plain Edge Assisted Opener
Timberline Knife & Tool
Lightning fast assisted opening folder with liner locking system. We have seen few assisted openers faster than this series. Handles are G-10 shaped to be very confortable to grip. Steel liner flexes over to lock in the open position and is easily accesible to move to unlock. Dual thumb studs allow for quick ambidextrous opening. Deep pocket belt clip. This is a great series at very reasonable prices.

Pros: Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Great everyday assisted-opening knife!!
Exceptionally fast opening knife - very ergonomic -- fantastic for everyday use & easy to carry -- yes it would be a plus if a sharpened edge lasted longer but it is a great knife for what it is. It is a nice addition to my personal defense spectrum as a backup to my carry gun & a small tactical flashlight Lastly, this knife is just so easy to deploy with knurled knobs both sides (as opposed to the awkward slider buttons I've seen on other knives)

Pros: Ease of Opening, Lock Type, Handle Feel, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, None
Cons: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness
Where is the edge?
I use the knife several times a day, from cutting cheese or fruit to opening letters or packages to trimming wood, hardly an abusive use of the knife. Of all the dozens of knives I have owned and own, this puppy gives me a very hard time in taking an edge (Lansky Sharpener) and, after I manage to put one one on, it doesn't keep it. But it has the nicest, snappiest opening.....

Not bad
As far as materials go, this knife is good for the price. Just be aware that it is made in China, so, not nearly as tight as a Japan or U.S. make. I ordered a couple of them, one was in o.k. working order, and the other one has some issues with mismatched spacers causing the blade to fold in crooked.
