An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for its extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

Pros: Materials, Finish, Overall Quality, Handle Material, Blade Sharpness, Sheath/Scabbard, None
Cons: Blade Material
I have been looking for a small fixed blade to carry that was unique and that could take some abuse. The cheetah is definitely small but fits comfortably in my larger hands...The little groove at the base of the handle sits atop your pinky and allows for a pretty strong grip while still maintaining control. This knife is made well, I would say the finish and scales are a bit nicer than my ESEE 4 DT. This knife came RAZOR sharp, and resharpens very easy. I literally cut my finger 2 nights ago while cleaning it and applying tuff cloth protector. The only thing that is annoying about this knife is that you have to care for it to prevent rust. Tops did a good job, I would recommend this knife.
