Cons: Sheath/Scabbard, Finish, Handle Material, Blade Material, Overall Quality, Usable
Disappointing even for price
I know this item is about 20$ (around 30 after shipping), but i would recommend going to a local store before purchasing this. The sheath: strap broke when i picked it up. Upon inspection, it was poorly sewn all around, and the quality of the strap seems dangerous. The handle: the cord is uncomfortable and dangerous; it is kept relatively well in place on the edge side, but the other side moves freely about without another choke hole to tie it to. The bottom of the handle, while it comes out enough to help keep the cord from moving about much (on one side) is a tad shallow for my liking, as it doesn't keep your hand from slipping down with use. The blade: i expected the lack of sharpness (it's decent, though it IS a machete), and the quality of steel to be lacking considering the price, so those things are fine. However, the sharpening was, even for the price, done poorly as the paint is uneven on either side, and it chipped from cutting cardboard on the top. Overall, while it is cheap, at around 30$ after shipping, it isn't even worth it's already low price. I would recommend going to a local store and buying a better, yet same price, machete and if necessary getting your own design on it cheaply (at least it won't instantly chip)
