Most Excellant Gift Item
I havent used this yet as it just arrived, but there is no reason why it wouldn't be functional. It is well made, sharp and highly polished. The curvature of the blade matches the wooden dish out. It would be a very nice gift item for a display piece in a kitchen. The wood chopping bowl is everything that I had anticipated. Laminated solid hardwoods. (strips of hardwood glued into a solid) Fine furniture has been made like this for eons. There is nothing cheap or cheesey about the set.
