Leather Sheath
Leather Sheath
Leather is known for its durability and traditional appeal. When compared to kydex it is preferred for its silence when bumped against other objects, as well as blade retention.
1095 Carbon Steel
1095 Carbon Steel
An excellent hard use steel, 1095 is a primary choice for camping and larger fixed blade knives for it's extreme toughness and ability to hold an edge. Corrosion resistance is very limited with this steel, most blades come with a coating to prevent premature rusting.

This one I'm not going to use just put in my collection I use my other for hunting and skinning all the time it it works wonderful. One just can't go wrong with this great USA quality for under $40 I personally believe its under priced for what you get. Knifecenter was excellent to do business with they kept me informed on my knife's status because it was not in stock and I will gladly do business with them agian. Get you a Utica today

Utica 11-79611GB Adirondack Hunting Knife
The knife for me will be a collector piece, no plans to use it. It is of interest to me because it is made not too far from home. It is a nice knife, polished blade and nice wood handles. I does not however, really seem like a heavy use knife. Its almost too nice, seems more like a display piece. Not sure about blade steel either. I am satisfied though with it for collecting purposes.

Hefty, well built fixed blade
Utica made knives have always impressed me because they never scrimp on materials and this knife is no exception. The full tang blade is thick, heavy, sharp, and well polished. The wood scales, which are nicely done, have brass liners between them and the tang which was a rather pleasant surprise. The leather sheath is a work of art in itself. I would wager it too is American made and not off shored. An under priced knife in my opinion. If I had one complaint it would be that the blade is rather short. Personally, I would of liked another inch or so in length. All told if you desire an edc fixed blade you have got to consider this series. It won't let you down.
