Pros: Blade Sharpness, Handle Material, Weight, Blade Material, None
Cons: Handle Feel, Ease of Opening, Overall Quality
Just OK considering the price
I like Barlow knives and have a few quality ones and a couple of cheap ones made in Chine. This one is in between in quality. The blades are well honed, but there seems to be some grit in the joint so it opens with a crunchy sound and makes it hard to open. I tried to clean it our and oiled it with limited success The logo is not centered and does not appear to mimic the original very closely (different font and font size). The pins are not set well so they catch as you run your hand over them (I tried to reset them with some success). The woodworking is very nice, so overall it has a great appearance. I like the weight, not as heavy as some well made ones I have, but clearly more substantial than the made in China copies I have. I like the length which seems to be spot on the originals..
