Description
VKVCF: The Volcan Coronado with Flipper
Volcan Knives

The Volcan Coronado is a lightweight folder with a drop point AUS-8 stainless steel blade. The assisted open is rapid and has a smooth action, while a ball bearing on the liner lock allows a smooth close. The Coronado has ridged Zytel handles that provide both an attractive design and functional grip. The reverse pocket clip lets the knife sit low and unseen in a pocket and the affordable price makes this knife a "must-have!"

Cons: Weight, Handle Feel
Interesting blade...
Most people put knives into categories. I think a knife is either a defensive blade or not. If it is a defensive blade then it will be easy to hold. It will be very sturdy and clearly a strong knife. You'll know you have something in your hand. This knife is not a defensive blade. It's a "Sunday go to meeting knife." The handle is too small to really wield the knife and ultimately because the handle is small, it really negates the knife being strong. The blade is very nice. The spring throws the blade out extremely fast. It's a nice knife for casual carry. Price was OK too.

Cons: Ease of Opening, Lock Ease of Use
Volcan Coronado is unpredictable.
Nice look w nice feel but opening mechanism is erratic (in my hands). Twice the knife opened while clipped into my pocket when I did not intend it. Both times I sustained small cuts on my fingers when I put my hand in my pocket to get something. I returned the product for refund.
