VN06201A: Victorinox Swiss Army Tomo Red
Tomo, which means friend and companion in Japanese, gives the characteristic shape of the pocket knife a completely new look, without doing away with any of its tried and tested functions. The small companion combines renowned design from Japan with Swiss precision and quality.

White, mint green, pink, apple green, lemon yellow, capri blue, Victorinox red

The packaging of Tomo is also different than that of traditional pocket knifes. It is made of 100% recycled – and reusable – pulp. The small companion even conveys a sense of exceptional far-sightedness and responsibility, which means it fits in perfectly with Victorinox’s ecological philosophy.

A protective pouch made of genuine leather was created for this product.

The design and packaging are the work of Japanese Designer Kazuma Yamaguchi. His designs are just as useful as they are aesthetically appealing and are avai-lable for purchase from, among other places, the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York), the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles and other design shops under the design label ABITAX.

Pros: Overall Quality
Cons: None
A squared Swiss beauty
The design and packaging of the Tomo knives are the work of Japanese Designer Kazuma Yamaguchi. This collector pieces were not well received in many countries as Victorinox traditional customers found this little knives kind of odd and chunky when compared with the smooth traditional lines of the Victorinox knives. As a result, the company decided to discontinue them in some regions making them more appealing for collectors that are hunting to get as many as they can get. Same use, same blades but packed in a nice clean rectangular case. If you collect Victorinox knives, buy them while they last. If you don't collect but you need a small Victorinox EDC, the Tomo fun design will let you find it in the depths of your pocket or purse with the Victorinox quality without the boring design of the traditional Vic knives.

Pros: Blade Material, Overall Quality, Finish
Cons: Handle Material, None
Great new look
This is a new look for an old standard pocket knife. The housing is a little thinner feeling and access to the blades requires a little more care, cut out is not so deep. Nevertheless I"m very pleased and love the different look.
