Essential for the Swiss Army User
I would buy this knife again, I use it as an EDC and I'll start with a con since it only has one, no pocket clip which I know is standard with most swiss army models I just have no need for the key ring. In my eyes if you can fit 15 tools in a 3.5 inch knife you can put a pocket clip on it to. The pros greatly outweigh the odds and immensely make up for no pocket clip, flashlight is legit works well, Philips head is great as most of my other swiss models don't have one making me carry this model more often, knives are wicked sharp and all other tools work as well if not better than other victorinox models

Nearly perfect
The shame of this knife is that lots of people won't find it, because they named it Spartan. The important bit here is that they've added more than just the LED flashlight: they've added the inline phillips too! So now, we've got a three-layer SAK that has an inline phillips, and LED flashlight, plus all the other tools of the regular Spartan. This one is almost tied with my Super Tinker for my favorite SAK. Although they are both three layers thick, this one is a bit thicker, because the LED flashlight/inline phillips layer is thicker than the scissors layer of the Super Tinker. So the Super Tinker is thinner and has a scissors, and this one is a bit thicker, but has a flashlight and inline phillips. I guess it would be fair to admit that some things I would choose a scissors for, I could also do with a blade. They would just be done a bit more sloppily. Like cutting threads or newspaper articles. Reading reviews elsewhere, you'll see that some folks don't like the flashlight, because they trigger it in their pocket. I've not had this problem, as I don't carry other things in the pocket with my full size SAKs. The light won't come on just from kit hitting your leg. Something else has to be touching against it. It is also worth noting that the light can be locked on, or just actuated momentarily. Lastly, the light runs off of a 3 V lithium battery, which is easily replaced and not too expensive, as long as you don't buy it from Radio Shack. It is not super bright, and it is a flood pattern, so it is good for when you get caught in the pitch darkness or as a nightstand light, but not for spotting things across the room. Now if Victorinox would just take Wenger's locking screwdriver technology and implement it here, and find a way to add a scissors, without making it thicker, it would be perfect.
