More of A Farmer's Knife Rather than Military-Excellent Camper Quality
I do not understand the prior opinions. From where I'm standing this is a rather well made bolo, not perfect, but extremely well made. This knife will last and can take a lot of punishment. This would be classified as rather "small for a child" by Philippine standards limited to chopping and slashing. The blade towards the point should be a little less curved and somewhat more pointed. The blade should also be longer. Yes, I am Filipino, been raised around these my whole life. The sheath could stand a few improvements. They should have made this out of kydex but that's of little consequence. The sheath will do. This is a well made knife which should prove a great all around hunter. For defensive purposes and those who practice silat, "pretty good" if you're in America. Criticisms: knife is short by 5 inches. Blade should be 20 degrees straightened and evened out to a point. This would a "Farmer's Bolo" rather than a "Military" by Philippine standards. Nevertheless however, extremely well made. A good camper, firewood chopper, splitting coconuts, clearing brush knife, acceptable combat to a certain extent.
