ZT0100: Model 0100 - Fixed Blade
Zero Tolerance Knives

The 0100 is a military-style, fixed-blade knife designed by Ken Onion and featuring an innovative "recurve" blade shape. Onion designed the 0100 blade for multi-tasking, minimal mass, and maximum performance. It provides ideal leverage for cutting the toughest materials and a perfectly centered point for precision piercing.

The CPM 3V tool-steel blade is Tungsten DLC-coated in matte black. The scales are 3-D machined G-10, also in matte black. The machining provides a secure grip, while the G-10 was selected because it exhibits extremely high mechanical strength - even in extreme temperatures. G-10 is also an excellent insulator.

CPM 3V tool steel is designed to provide maximum resistance to breakage and chipping and is highly wear-resistant steel. CPM 3V offers impact toughness greater than A2, D2, Cru-Wear or CPM M4, approaching the levels of S7 and other shock resistant grades, while providing excellent wear resistance, high hardness and thermal stability for coatings. With a Rockwell rating of 58-60, CPM 3V is the tool-steel for tools that have to perform under the harshest of field conditions.

The 0100 comes with a nylon-webbing sheath with multi-carry configuration capability and a convenient utility pocket.

With its bold looks, the premium-quality materials, and precision function, the 1011 offers knife users who depend on their blades in life-and-death situations everything they demand.

Definately a keeper !
This is another excellent addition to my collection . If there is such a thing as a discreet heavy duty knife this is it . This will not let you down when your back is to the wall . No bad things to say about this knife .

Best of the best.
I bought this knife to use as as a survival/self defense knife. I can't tell you how well this knife fits the hand. It's a marvelous design. The fit and finish is perfect. The balance is perfect. The gimping? is perfect it will not let your fingers slide but it isn't too aggressive as it doesnt cut into your fingers or wear on your skin. The gimping is placed exactly where it should be. The knife has a little heft to it. But that is toughness there and the weight helps you out with throwing, hacking etc. The blade shape is perfect for slicing and peircing. I simply just can't explain how perfect this knife is. You have to hold one to understand. It's just simply a 95% perfect knife. And I notice everyone complains about the sheath. I personally love the sheath it came with. Its nice and light and locks the knife in very secure. No worries about loosing the knife and it can be attached in many different ways. If you want a stronger sheath than all you have to do is add some stiching... I am not worried about the sheath. I have only two small gripes with the knife. The finish isn't diamond like. It scratches very easily. If you sharpen the knife be very careful or you will scratch the coating. The coating on my 15 dollar smith and wesson homeland security knife is tougher than this stuff. I scratched my knife sharpening it and a couple times thowing it into a tree. Next gripe would be the factory edge the blade came with. It wasnt very sharp out of the box. It wouldnt cut paper and it wouldnt grab a fingernail. For the price of the knife I think it should have been able to shave hairs. But o well. You just need to sharpen it. If I was to add anything to the knife I would have made a hammer on the butt of the knife for survivalist task and a cable cutter like the m9. Also kai usa is the best company out there. They really take care of their customers. I know cause I've dealt with them and couldnt be more pleased. Thank you kai. So in short if you want one of the best tactical knives out there. This is one of them. Next on the list is the chris reeve pacific, the ontairo m9 and the tried and true kabar. I believe these knives are the cream of the crop.
