Zero Tolerance Knives

THE CLASSIC ZT "BEAST"

If any ZT is our flagship knife, it's the 0300. It has all the features Zero Tolerance is known for: extremely solid construction, premium materials, and sophisticated ergonomics. This top-quality knife is equipped with the patented SpeedSafe assisted opening system.

SpeedSafe makes it easy for users to deploy the blade one-handed—using the ambidextrous flipper. The flipper is easy to access and with a blade this massive, SpeedSafe supplies an assist you'll appreciate. In addition to SpeedSafe, the 0300 features a tough S30V stainless steel blade with matte black Tungsten DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. The S30V blade steel is designed to provide the perfect combination of durability, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. The Tungsten DLC not only provides a non-reflective camouflaged surface, but also enhances blade hardness and reduces friction drag.

The 0300's handle is 3-D machined G-10 in the front with a matching 3D machined titanium back. The titanium frame lock provides a secure blade lock up during use. With or without gloves, this enables a very firm grip. The solid grip enables a quick transition from forward to reverse grip time and again. Heavy jimping on the thumb ramp further enhances the grip. A 3/8-inch hex head pivot shaft nut makes field adjustments possible with minimal tools. ZT's Quad-mount pocketclip enables for tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed carry. The 0300 is also available with a versatile, partially serrated edge as the 0300ST.

Blackwash is the New Black

Zero Tolerance introduces blackwash. A blackwashed knife is like a battled-tested tool or a favorite pair of well-worn jeans. Blackwashing gives a ZT that already-broken-in look that's just plain cool. Although a few custom knifemakers have been using this process, Zero Tolerance is one of the first major manufacturers to use it on production knives. Knife components are Tungsten DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) coated, then tumbled to produce the distinctive ZT blackwash finish. Like any coating, it will wear eventually, but with blackwashing, who cares? Additional wear just adds to the blackwashed look.

Awesome Beast
I bought this knife in the 0300 version (Not BW) primarily as an EDC for self defense (God forbid.). The knife is heavy and big in your hand, however I have never owned a folding knife that inspires this much confidence. I absolutely know it will perform if necessary. It is rapidly deployable with the 4 position clip and paddle opener. Although I don't personally need the assisted opening, it works well. I like the titanium frame lock. When you open the knife, the blade is so heavy it shakes your hand a little as it locks into place. It is fairly loud. The knife is very well designed and though I have only carried it for a week, I suspect I will never need to buy another folding knife, so long as I don't lose it. The G10 and titanium handles (front & back) do not tear up your pants like the Emerson knives do. (Which are also great knives.) It feels good in fencing grip with thumb extended or not, (Thumb extends onto the top of the blade and fits nicely.) or reverse grip. If you can stand the cost, go for it! FYI - this thing shaves huge swaths of hair right out of the box. Also, I traveled to knifecenter because I live in the area and they were super cool with me. I looked at 3 different knives for about a half hour before chosing. great service!
