ZT0566BW: ZT0566BW Hinderer & ZT Collaboration
Zero Tolerance Knives
An EDC-perfect ZT, now in Blackwash.

You wanted to see the 0566 in BlackWash and ZT is happy to oblige. Here it is with the finish that gives it the look of a favorite pair of well-worn jeans. But don’t let the look fool you. This is a piece of precision machinery.

The blade is pure ELMAX powdered steel. With almost no impurities in the steel, the 0566BW's blade can be sharpened to hair-popping levels—and also offers excellent edge retention, strength, and toughness. And with the BlackWash finish, the 0566BW's has a discrete, matte look.

For a secure grip, the front scale is textured G-10. The back is all stainless steel with a sturdy frame lock and lockbar stabilizer. The 0566BW offers Zero Tolerance's quad-mounting system so users can choose tip-up/tip-down, left- or right-handed carry. And because it's a deep-carry clip, the knife will sit comfortably down in the pocket.

Designed by Rick Hinderer and built tough by Zero Tolerance, the 0566BW is built for pure performance in an EDC-perfect size.

This has quickly become my favorite knife. Great aesthetics , great steel , great ergos. Would have easily paid double this price for the amount of knife you get here. Also lots of aftermarket parts to customize this model which is an added plus. Typical prompt shipping you get with knifecenter.

Built like a TANK!
I usually avoid the ZT line due to cost and weight, don't get me wrong I do admire the brand and many of the knives, but I have a budget and I like to buy as many knives as possible on a monthly basis, so something has to give. Then along comes the Hinderer 0566BW @ $125 and looking slick as hell with the "Blackwashed" ELMAX blade I had to get one. I have been carrying the knife for a few days now and it is great, handle design is ergonomic, smooth fit in the hand, the G-10 is high traction, the blade material is ELMAX a German powdered stainless steel with an increased carbon content of 1.7% which is quite high and makes for an easy to restore edge. The wear resistance and corrosion resistance are both aided by a high level of chromium so I am expecting a nightly stropping will be all that is needed for routine edge maintenance. The Blackwashed blade treatment, deep carry pocket clip, Speedsafe assisted opening and the cut swedge on the back blade give the ZT a very high "cool factor" and definitely places close to the top of my favorite EDC blade list (Subject to change). Alright, I have to keep it real, there is a flaw, the framelock lever is a pain to de-activate due to the grind placed on the interior of the lock bar, you can train around it but if there was a bit of an edge there it would be a non-issue. The knife will be put into rotation with my Para 2's (I have eight), Griptilian RSK MK1 and Recon 1 to see if it meets the test of time in pocket. Guys seriously, I never take time to write these reviews, this is no BS, this is an ADD to your collection knife, get one ASAP. YouTube review this weekend. 20$Bandit
