ZT0801BW: Model 0801BW
Zero Tolerance Knives

The all-metal, all-the-time look of the Zero Tolerance 0801 is even better in Blackwash.

Premium ELMAX® stainless steel enables ZT to give the 0801BW a blade with a razor edge, excellent edge retention, strength, and toughness. The ELMAX blade is paired with machine-grooved titanium handles for a secure grip—and with a matching Blackwash finish, of course. A sturdy frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert secures the blade open during use.

The blade deploys using the built-in flipper. Just pull back on the flipper and the razor-sharp ELMAX blade rotates out of the handle on ZT's glass-smooth KVT ball-bearing system. No springs required; just simple, one-handed opening. The 0801BW pocketclip is designed for deep carry and is reversible for left- or right-handers. Decorative pivot hardware completes the 0801BW's handsome look.

The new Blackwash finish gives the 0801BW the look of a well-worn favorite tool, while its top materials, Todd Rexford design, and ZT excellence are sure to make it your new favorite.

Frame Lock
Frame Lock
Developed by Chris Reeve, it functions like a liner lock but the lock is comprised of one of the handle scales. It's an extremely strong and easy to manipulate lock.
Pocket Clip
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Titanium Handles
Titanium Handles
A nonferrous metal, it's prized for its high strength to weight ratio and is often used on higher end knives.
Extremely fine grained powered metal that strikes the balance between edge holding and corrosion resistance perfectly. Much more likely to get a rolled edge than have a chip develop.

Pros: Lock Type, Handle Material, Handle Feel, Blade Sharpness, Blade Material, Ease of Opening, Weight, Lock Ease of Use, Overall Quality
Cons: None
Just got my 0801 in blackwash and I love it! This is my first framelock ZT and the amount of coverage between the lock and the blade seems quite a bit more substantial than the liner lock. Not that I've ever had a problem with the liner lock, the frame lock seems to be a good bit stronger. I really like the feel of the handles on this one. The texture and shape seem to fit my hand perfectly. The flipper action is super smooth, jumps out almost like it's assisted. Elmax steel should be able to go a long time between sharpenings, especially for what I'll use it for. Just a touch up every once in a while and I should be good to go. Got a really good deal on this one from Knife Center, but would still buy it at the regular price. Get one now and save yourself some money. Can't find a thing wrong with it, and I looked it over pretty well. Okay, maybe one thing, it could use a little jimping on the back of the blade and frame, but maybe that's just me. Buy one and you won't be sorry. Thanks to ZT for another great knife and to Knife Center for their great service!

Purchased this knife on Craigslist recently in box, new condition. Wow. Flips open with a quick, SOLID lockup. No negatives with this baby, it is so ergonomically sound that it doesn't feel too heavy, just well built. Rides deep in pocket :-)

Easy flipper, great knife
The ZT Rexford 0801BW is a great looking knife and the flipping action is smoother than several custom knives I own that could many times the price of this one. I am impressed!
